Me, Myself, and I
A blog about a number of things:
Food. Exercise. Life. Politics. The Environment.
Yea. That’s pretty much it. I live and work in Ann Arbor, MI. I went to Michigan State University, where my major was Japanese language and political science, and apparently I’m an adult now. I’ve just figured that means I have to wake up early, go to bed early, and pretend like I know about things like 401Ks and insurance.
Lately I’ve been into running. I used to really hate it (ask anyone from high school or college) but once I realized that I could do well at it the hatred has since vanished. Aiming for my first marathon in Detroit this year.
My blog name comes from the fact that rather short (4’11″) and my last name is 16 letters long, not including the hyphen.

You are funny! But the last statement is so true – I have absolutely no clue what 401k means to this day. Should I be proud of it or be ashamed of it?
I don’t think its something to be necessarily proud of or ashamed of. You don’t have a 401K until you get a (real) job. There was no class or point in high school at which I was told what a 401K was… and when you get your real job they just assume that you know what it is and how it works.
Hey Jessica! Thanks for your recent comment on my blog. I
see that I’m on your “follow” list- I’m entirely flattered! I
thought the only person who read my blog was Jennifer from It’s Not
Easy to be Green. I like your blog a lot and wish you luck with
your plastic and letter writing goals. Very cool. I’m going to look
into Plastic Counting thing and perhaps try it myself. Oh, and I
love your short haircut. I had very short hair for 5 years and
never thought I’d ever cut it, but I was spending almost $100/month
to bleach it and keep it short and decided to grow it out to save
money. I never tried a hairdressing school. (And I’m over fake hair
dyes now- they’re toxic!) I’ll be checking out your blog more
regularly now.
Thanks for stopping by! And the haircut compliment! I had really long hair until the end of high school, then I chopped it off. The teaching school I go to is by Aveda, which some people have problems with their ingredients, but I figure once every two months is okay for a ‘questionable ingredients’ shampoo.
You have a neat and meaty blog here. Good luck on your themed days. Keep it up!
Regards,
Adrian

Hey there fellow Michigander…oh how I loathe calling myself that when I am a Texas transplant. I am in Brighton but come to AA often. I would LOVE to be in contact with other fellow writers. Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed!
