Arbor Hills Nature Area

One of the things that I like about living in Ann Arbor, is that a park doesn’t always have to consist of a giant play structure and tennis courts and baseball fields. A park or nature area can just be an area set aside that we’re not gonna build a bunch of crap on.

Right next to my apartment complex are two nature area that I tried to take a look around the other day. One of them was is closer but it was a little bit flooded in the entrance and I was not up for getting all muddy. The second one down the road was not muddy at all so I walked around the trails a bit. It’s not huge, nothing for a hike or a long walk, but it’s still nice to know that just because the land is technically vacant that no one is going to up and build another subdivision on it. Here are a few pictures taken on my iPhone (read: blurry) from my walk around the nature area.

random spot for “garden” flowers

wild raspberries on the walk home (got to eat some yesterday!)
